​...whether it's the '07 Mini Cooper he's kept going past 265,000 miles (if you know Minis, you'll understand this feat!), his dad's '87 Jeep engine he's rebuilt and kept running past 330,000 miles, or the '57 Johnson Seahorse outboard he’s carefully restored to life to pair with his great-grandfather's '57 Alumacraft, which he's also restored, to name just a few of his favorite mechanical achievements. His electrical accomplishments are equally as extensive, from rebuilding complex wiring harnesses for cars and boats to tackling various residential wiring projects and appliance and computer repairs. Every system he touches benefits from his quiet expertise, attention to detail, and refusal to settle for "good enough."
What sets Matt apart is not just his technical skill, but his commitment to serving customers with high-quality customer service.
He brought decades of off-resume mechanical and electrical mastery to the professional standby generator field, where he spent years deepening his skills installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing residential standby generators. He was quickly drawn to the unique and purposeful way that the standby generators integrate the mechanical, electrical, and computer systems and was just as quickly bothered by the lack of quality service available to customers.
He started MJ's Generators with the goal of giving customers what they deserve: dependable, high-quality work from professionals who take pride in what they do and treat every customer with respect.
